A new chapter in life

Its actually been more than 13 months this time (16 to be precise) but then no one even knows I have something here where I have scribbled a couple of times, so doesn't really matter.

Just read this quote a few days back and its very appropriate for this setting too - "A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others!" So not having any visitors or comments or praises or rebukes really does not make a big difference to my life.

Just realised though that this post doesn't yet do justice to the title - I usually write and decide on the title later, but today is different. I just stumbled into my own blog and realised I should let it know that I have moved back to India and have started what is a pretty different life from the last 2-3 years. Its good to be back - yet there are things I wish I could bring back home and one of them is a little more sanity to life. People in Delhi seem to be in an eternal hurry without realizing that the ensuing chaos only delays the whole process for them. Not to forget the numerous legal requirements to rent a house, buy a car, etc. Wonder how it was easier for me as an expat to get all this done in Bahrain than it is in my own country - its ironic/ sad my physical existence is so much less important than a piece of paper which says I belong to another part of the country. C'mon guys - it is ONE country and the Government can do better to treat us all as Indians instead of Punjabis, Gujaratis, Tamils, etc.

Enough cribbing for now though - hope things get a lot better once things settle down. And even if noone discovers this pseudo-secret jaunt of mine, I hope I return faster than 16 months this time.
